I hardly knew my wife.

I met my wife on a dating app, and got engaged after 11 months.

She checked many of the boxes I was looking for but I still felt doubt.

There was no clarity of having met "the one" or anything like that. Above all, we had good communication and aligned visions of the future we wanted.

Then I got lucky!

As life has progressed and we are building our family together I have learned that most of the things I love, admire, and appreciate the most about her I did not know when we got married.

Crazier when I think if I would have known those things at the time I might have not even valued them.

We all have experiences like this in our lives. They serve as a reminder that: getting what we want will not always bring us the optimal outcome.
