Jon Slimak
Jon Slimak recently left Google after the acquisition of Alter in 2022, after a decade spent building products and businesses around our relationship with technology.
Outside work his life is centered on his wife and two kids, with room for epistemology, sci-fi books, padel, and electronic music, and his path runs from Venezuela through competitive waterpolo, architecture at Pratt, research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and being a proud Jew.
Along the way he has appeared across TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Engadget, Launch Festival, The Verge, Business Insider, on a podcast, and in a keynote, and he has invested in Anduril, 1337, Quest Portal, Solsten, Heracles, Estimote, and Audicus.
His ventures include Alter, acquired by Google after a seed round, adoption by 1200+ teams, and a top GitHub repo, then Ready, Ready Maker, Tongo, and Piictu; additional projects include Leña and AirPod Skins.
Music includes Algo, Serialust, Telebody, and Nobody; art includes Temple, Untz-Untz, Monome, and OSTX.
He can be found on Twitter, AngelList, LinkedIn, and Crunchbase, and his writing lives here.
